Color LaserWriter 12/600 PS

Introduced: June 1995
Terminated: October 1996

Description

With an AMD 29030 processor running at 30Mhz, the Color LaserWriter 12/600 PS was Apple’s first color LaserWriter.  It used the Level 2 PostScript interpreter and could print 12 black and white pages or three color pages a minute at a DPI of 600.  Communication options included LocalTalk, Ethernet and a parallel port.

History

The Color LaserWriter 12/600 PS was the first color LaserWriter and the introduction of the most expensive line of Apple printers ever.  With excellent print quality, the high price was justified.  Intended for business customers in need of high volume, high quality color printing, the Color LaserWriter 12/600 PS did not sell very well in spite of its excellent quality.

  • You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!

  • ... Beautiful scenery, we humans always just liked the scenery. I myself, each time to find a beautiful landscape will feel how small I was in the midst of nature.
